Rochelle Maki

LAMFT

I'm Rochelle Maki, a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University. I have a deep passion for working with individuals, couples, families, and facilitating group therapy sessions. I understand that therapy can be an intimidating prospect for some individuals. However, it's important to recognize that therapy provides a valuable space for self-discovery, understanding relationships, and exploring the impact of life experiences. Even without a major life problem, therapy can serve as an avenue for personal growth, maintaining productivity, and engaging in meaningful conversations with a neutral party. I am here to offer my support in any way I can.

The therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client is a vital aspect of successful therapy. I have experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, those in addiction recovery, individuals with anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, survivors of sexual trauma, couples facing sexual intimacy issues, and those navigating affairs, among other areas. Sex therapy is an area I am particularly passionate about, as it can provide individuals with the tools to better understand their own sexual needs and effectively communicate them to their partners. It's important to remember that you are more than a diagnosis, and I would be honored to accept you for who you authentically are, supporting your journey towards greater happiness and meaning.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends (especially if it's on a beach). Exploring diverse culinary experiences, engaging in gaming (bonus points if you're a PC gamer like me), connecting with nature, and indulging my passion for music are also activities I cherish. Currently based in Indianapolis, Indiana, I exclusively provide therapy through teletherapy sessions.
